About

Make (No) Bones is a podcast about poets and the creative life. It is produced and edited by Toby Altman and Emily Barton Altman in Iowa City, Iowa. Each episode features a poet reading a poem and discussing their work, and new episodes are released approximately every three to four weeks. Emily Barton Altman is the author of two chapbooks, Bathymetry (Present Tense Pamphlets, 2016), and Alice Hangs Her Map (forthcoming from dancing girl press, 2018). She has poems forthcoming or appearing in The Journal Petra, Dream Pop Press, Ghost Proposal, and others. She is a recipient of a Poets & Writers Amy Award and received her MFA from New York University.

 

Toby Altman is the author of Arcadia, Indiana (Plays Inverse, 2017) and five chapbooks, including recently Security Theater (Present Tense Pamphlets, 2016). His poems can or will be found in The Black Warrior ReviewLana TurnerWashington Square, and other journals and anthologies. He co-runs Damask Press. He holds a PhD in poetry and poetics from Northwestern University and is currently an MFA candidate at the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
